Aleister Crowley is a name that evokes a reaction—whether someone is vociferously vilifying him or passionately defending his legacy, it is rare to find anyone ambiguous about his influence in the literature of the occult. The founder of his own religion, Thelema, as well as an accomplished mountaineer and chaos magickian, Crowley remains alive in the public imagination. This clear and thought-provoking book unveils the man and the myth in all his glory for the beginner.
